IVECO, part of CNH Industrial, was named Large Goods Vehicle Manufacturer of the Year at the GreenFleet Awards 2017 for the second year running. The company holds a unique position as the only commercial vehicle manufacturer offering a full range of sustainable options that already meet the strict requirements of the UK’s expanding Low Emission Zones (LEZs) and anticipates future changes to legislation.
In the light commercial market, IVECO’s new Daily Blue Power was crowned International Van of the Year 2018. Its three models include the Daily Hi-Matic Natural Power which is the first CNG-powered LCV with an eight-speed automatic gearbox; the Daily Electric with an extended range of 174 miles (280 km) in a three-battery configuration and the Daily Euro VI RDE 2020 Ready.
IVECO’s Eurocargo medium truck line-up includes Natural Power models at 12 and 16 tonnes with a maximum range of 400 km.
For heavy truck operators, the Stralis NP’s impressive sustainability credentials earned it the title of Low Carbon Truck of the Year 2017 at the Commercial Fleet Awards thanks to its ability to reduce particulate matter (PM) emissions by 99%, NOx by 60% and CO2 emissions by up to 95% with the use of bio LNG. Stralis NP is also around 50% quieter than a diesel equivalent and is now available with a powerful 460hp engine.
With interest growing in alternative fuel options, IVECO is best placed to meet the needs of Britain’s commercial vehicle operators.
